Meet Studio Underd0g’s brand-new Generation 3 of the 01SERIES chronograph. With a 38.5mm case crafted from durable 316L stainless steel, Gen 3 features a slimmer profile of 12.9mm — down from 13.6mm in Gen 2 — and a redesigned screw-down caseback for an expansive view of the new ST-1901B manual-winding movement, developed exclusively with Seagull. The ST-1901B movement features an all-black main plate that beautifully frames the bridges, wheels, and balance. Studio Underd0g have also added a silver swan neck regulator to allow for more precise regulation. All ST-1901B movements are regulated in Great Britain to -10/+15 seconds per day.
A unique two-layer satin sandblast base with a coarse dégradé top that adds depth and character. Enhanced functionality comes from the tachymeter markings, while the double-domed sapphire crystal and flat exhibition caseback ensure excellent visibility.
With a robust 3-part case construction, the watch is a sleek 38.5mm in diameter with water resistance up to 5 ATM. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel and its 20mm lug width and 44.5mm lug-to-lug measurement ensure a comfortable fit. Quick-release spring bars make strap changes effortless.
The Uneggspected Series is powered by a bespoke Seagull Manual Winding ST-1901B movement with a silver-colored Swan Neck regulator. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and a chronograph. The chronograph includes a central seconds hand, a 30-minute counter sub-dial, and a tachymeter scale at the edge of the base dial.
The Uneggspected Series hatched from a conversation between two founders: Austen Chu of Wristcheck and Richard Benc of Studio Underd0g. Since 2021, both brands have been on a mission to challenge the status quo—making watches accessible to anyone and everyone. United by a shared vision to see things differently, we decided it was time to rethink the chronograph. Why not use it for something fun, something unexpected—like timing a perfectly cooked egg?
